Frequently Asked Questions

What day is sport?

Thursday will be the sport day for all students in Kindergarten. On this day they will need to be wearing their sport uniform with black sport shoes and white socks. They will also need a water bottle and their school hat.

Who is my child’s teacher?

Classes will be formed in the first week of kindergarten. We will let you know who your child’s teacher will be after this has been done.

When does library start?

Library starts in week 4. Please leave your child’s library bag in their back pack. We will help them borrow when it is time. They will not be able to borrow unless they have a school library bag.

What time can I drop off my child?

Supervision begins at 8am, students can arrive at school between 8am and 8.40am. Students are allowed into the classroom at 8.20am. Your child needs to arrive at school with enough time to unpack their bag, borrow a library book and have some outdoor play.

What time can I pick up my child?

School finishes at 3:00. Please pick up your child at this time. If you are late to collect your child, they will be supervised in the office. If for some reason you cannot be on time, please contact the school to let us know.

What if someone else is collecting my child?

If someone else is collecting your child, please contact the school office, or email the class teacher, and let them know who it will be. We will need to know their first and last name.

When does my child eat?

Students have 3 opportunities to eat during the day. Lunch at 11am, Recess at 1.25pm and Fruit Break at about 10am. Please ensure students have their fruit in a separate container.

Will my child be receiving homework?

No. We will be sending home a home reading diary later in term 1 and will let you know how this works in Kindergarten.
