Learning Disabilities
There are many reasons why a student may experience challenges in their learning. The generic term “Learning Disabilities” refers to the 20% of students who experience problems acquiring academic skills because of a range of causes. Learning disabilities may include neurodevelopmental disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), processing disorders such as Dyslexia, Dysgraphia or Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), emotional or behavioural disorders such as Anxiety or Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD) or physical disabilities such as Cerebral Palsy or Deafness.
Regents Park Christian School has qualified teaching and support staff who work together with students, families and medical professionals to provide appropriate educational opportunities and effective instruction in the classroom for students with disability.
