Pushing the Boundaries is an enrichment day designed for Year 9 students and hosted by Covenant Christian School. This is an extra-curricular program providing the opportunity for students to delve deep into specific topics alongside like-minds. Workshops ranged from Psychology to Robotics to the Philosophy of Science and Digital Music. RPCS had seven students who attended the event and enjoyed a day of enrichment outside of the regular curriculum.
Pushing the Boundaries Enrichment day was an amazing experience! I was able to get know Mrs Gindy and the student’s attending more, and I learnt heaps about Digital Music and Creative Writing! At lunch there was a ‘just dance competition’ and students got up and participated! It was so fun and it was a great day altogether! I’m so thankful for the opportunity and I had an amazing time! – Faith
On Friday, 25 October, a couple of students from Year 9 and I had the opportunity to attend a “Pushing the Boundaries” class at Covenant Christian School. The day was full of workshops ranging from pastry making and painting to philosophy and math. I chose music and philosophy in which I learnt many different practical skills. Overall it was a great chance to learn different things as an extension and it helped me push the boundaries stopping me from growing and not only that, I was able to socialise with people from other schools! I very much enjoyed the day and I’m sure all my fellow attendees can say the same! – Cayden
We all filed into the Covenant Christian School hall. All the students were so nice and welcomed us kindly to the Pushing the Boundaries program! My favorite experience there was the Creative Writing workshop. The teacher was excellent in leading and engaging the class and taught us how to write in a creative though unconventional way! I really enjoyed myself that day. – Immanuel
The day at Covenant Christian School Sydney was amazing, the sessions were not only a real eye opener, but it helped us learn new and exciting things. The teachers and their lessons were engaging and the students were so welcoming. If I got the chance to do this again, I wouldn’t hesitate to go again and try something new. – Erica
