Once again, we had a wonderful celebration of Community last Friday at our Mother’s Day Breakfast and Assembly. Thank you to all the mums, grandmas, aunties and friends who made the time to be part of our celebration. It was great, too, seeing the many Secondary students back from camp and joining in the fun! As always, our Secondary ministry students from the Primary, Urban and Creative ministries lent a hand with the cooking and serving. Cafe2U was kept busy right to the end catering to everyone’s caffeine fix. The photo board was kept busy throughout as mums and their children queued to have their photo taken. Mrs Jovanov and Mrs Pidgeon emceed the Mother’s Day Competition: Newest baby, heaviest and lightest babies, biggest gap between eldest and youngest and strangest cravings. Many of us were filled with new respect, and not a little awe, as we heard these mum’s achievements! Our string ensemble and Stage 3 worship team capped off a beautiful morning by presenting items to honour these significant ladies in our lives. We pray that Mother’s Day weekend was a time when all our mums were acknowledged, encouraged and appreciated for the invaluable ministry they have in our students’ lives! Thank you!
