King’s Army was an incredible night where all the young men of the school could gather together, have fun and learn more about God. The night kicked off with a game of Sardines and a Scavenger Hunt where the boys worked together and against each other to find the hiding person or to complete the tasks of the scavenger hunt. Despite the cold weather, these activities were followed by two exciting and fun games, Sock Wrestling and King of the Hill. The boys battled each other in good spirits to win their respective games, it was an overall fun and exciting atmosphere with all the boys as they encouraged each other throughout. After dinner all the boys moved into the hall where praise and worship commence. It was inspiring and amazing to see so many boys praising and worshipping God. Zayn from Kingdom Come came to give his testimony and the boys responded well to his powerful story of which he and his family came to Australia because of persecution and converted from a Muslim background to a Christian one. Following this, Ps. Mitch Livingston from Heartbeat Church came and spoke to the boys about the theme of “Radiate” from the passage James 3:17-18. He talked about how we as individual’s should radiate and shine for Jesus’ love, compassion and forgiveness for one another. Overall the night was an fun, exciting and impactful night for all the boys who came. We as year 12 students believe there is so much more in store for these young men of God and are proud to have lead Kings Army 2017.
