Abby Druery of Year 10 is a member of the Synchronized Skating Team, Majestic Ice Australia. She will be competing at the upcoming World Junior Synchronized Skating Championships in Mississauga Ontario Canada, this year in March. These championships are governed and recognised by the Australian Olympic Committee and the International Skating Union. Synchronized skating is one of five official competitive disciplines of the sport. As a competitor in synchronized skating, Abby is a member of a team where 16-20 athletes skate together, performing intricate footwork while executing difficult formations. Teams spend many hours training, with the ultimate goal of winning medals at the state, national and international levels. On behalf of RPCS we would like to congratulation Abby on her incredible achievements and wish her a safe and rewarding experience as she heads off to compete in the World Championships in Week 5.
