The sun was high over The Crest on Monday and what a great day we had at the Athletics Carnival. The day begun with our students tackling Javelin and discus in great numbers. It was very pleasing to see such high rates of participation from all our students and a willingness to help with any and every job. There were some outstanding achievements and a number of our students will be heading on to the Zone Carnival which will take place on the 26 July 2017(Term 3 Week 1).
We had some outstanding achievements across all grades, with a number of students nudging the school records book. The result of the day goes to Sasha, who beat the 17 year old girls record from 1994 in Javelin with a throw of 26.53m!
At the end of the day year 7 won the grade competition with the most students getting involved. Well done year 7! Your reward afternoon will be announced soon!
We want to congratulate all our students on how well they participated and their positive attitudes throughout the day. It was a great day with a lot of fun had. We would also like to thank all the staff who made the day possible for our students.
