On the 11th and 12th of April Regents Park Christian School sent Aj Masai, Lachlan Broederlow, Sam Tuisau and Samson Ierome, to represent the South Metro CSSA Zone Junior Boys team for State Touch Football, with Mr Orr. The students travelled up by bus to Port Macquarie with the entire Zone Teams, training together and getting to know their team mates for the afternoon, before staying the night for the competition on Thursday.
Our zone was very successful on the day, with our junior boys, junior girls and open girls all remaining undefeated throughout the competition until the finals. The Junior Girls team defeated the North Metro Zone in the final to become State Champions. Our Junior Boys and Open Girls teams both reached the finals, also against North Metro Zone, only to be narrowly defeated in two highly competitive games – coming second overall in the State.
Aj Masau and Lachlan Broederlow were rewarded for their excellent play at this carnival and were picked amongst 12 other students from the South Metro Zone to go on from this carnival and represent CSSA at the CIS Touch Football Tournament in June.
Well done Boys in representing our school and Zone so well on this trip!
