Camps, Ministries & Missions
CMM week involves the secondary school. It is one of the highlights of the school year where we see lives changed and rebirthed in their saviour.
Year 7, 8 and 9 Camp
We run our three school camps at the same and time. We spend the day in our year groups with guest speaker sessions and run activities such as Wake boarding at Cables, trampolining at Flip Out, riding in the dodgem cars or swimming on the water slide. At night we all come together for a combined rally with guest speakers. It is a time of reflection and growth in our Lord God.
Mission Trips
Some year 10 and 11 students go to different locations and partner with local churches, schools, or organisations to glorify God.
We have sent teams to the Solomon Islands, Cherbourg (QLD), Dubbo (NSW) and Sydney City. All our students return with a fresh sense of appreciation of what they have been blessed with and a new passion to see those less fortunate to find hope in Jesus Christ.
Ministries
Three ministries serve the community in CMM week.
- Creative ministry is for students to use their God-given creative ideas in a unique school project. Art works, videos and thank you cards are placed around the school for future generations. We have also worked with nursing homes and hospitals to do artwork and portraits for patients.
- Excellence ministry improves the school and local churches. Students use their skills to repair and maintain community infrastructure.
- Primary ministry cares and nurtures RPCS primary students. They partner with primary teachers and build lifelong friendships with the students they minister to.
Work experience:
Some students need a taste of workplace culture to help them decide on future employment in their chosen field. Therefore, RPCS offers work experience during CMM week.
Year 12
During CMM Week, the school is at its quietest. We bring year 12 students back for their half yearly exams. This week is the best opportunity for students to sit exams without distraction. We select staff to support and pray for students as they work through this week.
