Primary at RPCS
Research has conclusively shown how vitally important the early years of schooling are to a child’s emotional, academic and social development: how and what is taught in the early years has a lasting, formative influence on a child’s life.
RPCS Primary is a dynamic environment where students are challenged to develop a lifelong love of learning, to know themselves as learners, and to strive to achieve personal excellence centred on Christ. The staff are committed to providing a meticulous and differentiated learning experience for each student in an environment that is safe and supportive, defined by engagement and a personal approach.
Our classes in Primary school are conducted in an open plan setting where the dividing walls have been removed. This environment allows teachers to collaborate and plan student learning in their stage. Research has identified this dialogue between teachers about student learning is extremely effective in improving student achievement. The open plan also allows teachers to cater to the students’ diverse needs more efficiently, whether through learning support or through extension work.
We aim to provide excellent education and deliver the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) curriculum. We aspire to prepare our students with purpose, to build, shape and transform children’s lives holistically.
